"Busy" Week

It is kind of funny how my definition of busy has changed over the past year, but this week has been 2006 busy. Number 1 fan and I have decided to move out of The 25 Lynwood and into the world of home ownership. I would have never imagined that searching for a new place to call home could be so physically exhausting. These realtor types insist on taking the stairs over the elevator, i guess this avoids the awkward elevator conversations, but man it is tiring! Number 1 fan has been taking step class this semester and drops me every time we start climbing.
I have been having trouble breathing over the past few weeks, so I paid a visit to Jennifer my NP (Nerd Practicioner). She put me on a puffer and hopefully this will clear things up. They also diagnosed me with bradycardia. Sounds scary eh!? Well it mean I have a low heart rate. The Doc. and Jennifer acted like I was going to die on the spot, "Do you know that your heart rate is 43!" I was like yeah, so? About two dozen tests later they determined that, imagine this... I am in extremely good physical condition... shocker.
Oh yeah, we did some races this weekend too. When I say we, I mean Number 1 fan and I raced; my teammates... I think they were at the beauty salon. Anyways, on Sat. I rode up to Rhode Island and raced a crit. The race was called the Great New England Criterium Throw Down, pretty bold name for a race that only had about 35 guys in it. I tried to escape many times from the pack, but it didn't work out. It was a good 6 hour day of training.
Sunday was a great circuit race. I broke my front derailuer before the start of the race...hmmm...well I guess I'll big ring the whole thing. Not really my style, but I made it work well enough for 11th. Oh yeah, my sprint forgot to make the journey to the race with me, I got last in my group :(
To top the busy week off, we went bowling with the Yale Nerd Students last night. This time I wasn't the only guy ("Not many males in your profession are there Folker?"), but was by far and away the worst bowler. I think my arm is going to be sore for the next week. You should have seen the look on the guys face when I gave him the 6 pound ball I was using and asked for a 5 pounder. Oh yeah for those keeping track, Cass beat me and is ahead in the series.
