Maine Event

Casserole and I traveled to the great state of Maine this past weekend for some shopping and a little bit of racing. Warning to future travelers of Maine, stay away from Lewiston, but if you happen to find yourself in Lewiston eat at Governor's for B-fast. Maine is the home of L.L. Bean and TONS of outlet stores. Trust me, I think we visited every single one of them. What is all of this grumbling about, you may ask. Well I placed a dismal 17th on Saturday, so Cass decided that I didn't deserve to put my feet up and relax in the hotel room and took me shopping as punishment. Talk about motivation to place better! There is something about outlets, Cass feels obligated to buy something in every store, "because it is so cheap." I don't understand this logic, but scored some new clothes. After our half marathon shopping spree the pressure was on to place better Sunday because I couldn't handle any more shopping. The race went well on Sunday and I placed 5th, in my 5th cross race, kind of funny. I'd like to say thanks to Jelly for taking care of my bike's set up. So now I have some UCI points and won't have to start so far back anymore. Pressure is on now! I'll post some pictures later today.
